The coconut tree grows abundantly in Sri Lanka and plays a big part in its economy. Every part of the tree is used, from the coconut and its shell, to the palm leaves and the wood of its trunk. These coconut wood products have a simple, rustic charm and an unusual, striking wood grain. Each item is individually hand-turned, so there may be slight variations in size, shape and colour. The bigger bowls are ideal for fruit, bread rolls and salads, while the smaller ones are suitable for snacks such as crisps and nuts. They are sturdy and water-tight but we don't recommend using them for hot liquids.
